My posts will continue to be infrequent and sparse. I’m not a regular blogger nor do I desire to be. Since Thursday i have an injury to my shoulder and left arm, limiting my mobility and giving me the perfect excuse to post an update on the wonderful world of writing and creativity.
My second novel and the sequel to my first novel, The Tribulations of Kharman, is complete and I am looking for and saving my capital for the lucky editor who’ll perusal through my written work and hopefully I’ll earn an A*. Finding an editor, and professional one, at that, is proving to be more difficult than actually writing the damn book. So much thought one has to go through and researching on the many types of editing, like developmental, copyediting, and proofreading. I honestly want to use all yet still the book or story wouldn’t be perfect, like most creations. But as I say my my second book will hit the retailers soon so you can expect a late 2023 release to an early 2024 and hey look, we’re almost halfway through the year already!
I wanna thank those who’ve spent their money on obtaining a copy of my book, which came out in 2021. This means a lot and I’ve noticed an uptick in sales, this month. It doesn’t matter to me whether or not you purchased the Kindle, paperback, or hardback as long as you obtain the story, by legal means of course, and have an enjoyable read, which will keep me happy. So Thank You for the support and the reviews given.
My other request is that you don’t just buy my book but read it too. I understand you’re busy with work, family, Netflix, and other commitments. I’m the same way but I must encourage you all to read my book. Either a chapter a day or a few pages twice a week. Spend at least 12 minutes one evening a week on a few pages. With me, for example, I usually borrow four books, from the library, and read one or even a couple, spending no more than 12 to 30 minutes on a chapter or several pages, typically on my day off. One such book I’m getting enjoyment from is the fantasy novel Skyfarer by Joesph Brassey.
So i have given you a suggestion on finding the reading time. Reading can be a laborious task but it’s good for the mind and you need to remember my second novel and sequel is on the way soon. You won’t be able to read it until you’ve finished my first novel. It’s like watching the sequel to a movie or jumping into the second season of The Expanse or The Orville and not having a clue on what’s going on.
Stay safe and keep reading!
