First Book

We’re now in absolute lockdown. From anyone who lives in England knows what this means. A second lockdown and to be honest I didn’t expect there’d be another one until we got close to October, that’s when I predicated one would happen. But hopefully it won’t last long like the other one. Anyway I know most will be frustrated particularly with all this panic buying and stockpiling items. Yeah, I understand people are scared but I just feel it only worsens the situation. I’m certainly not condoning peoples’ behaviour. I’d even go as far as to classify it as greed. This lockdown couldn’t have happened at a better time, with my birthday on the horizon. I’d however say I’m quite lucky in that the lockdown didn’t occur last month, where my desktop decided to play up, which would’ve no doubt buggered my writing plans. In the end I had to resort to purchasing a laptop as a backup option while I awaited, patiently, for the repair of my valuable machine. Sad to say that I’d waisted hours trying to resolve an issue with the sound but I won’t bore you further with anymore details.

Ok, I’m sure you don’t want me to go on about the doom and gloom currently wreaking our lives or the issue of my precious desktop so let me drive straight to the status of my book then . I’ve finalized my story and I’ve just received the final edit. So far I’m going over the copyeditor’s work and am currently on chapter 12, and thankful to have gotten another pair of eyes to scrutinize my long life work, and correct any errors. I seriously didn’t wanna fork out more money on another edit and I seriously lost count of how many edits I’ve gone through with this personal masterpiece.

Long-life work? Masterpiece? Yeah, I’m serious. It took long for me to write and complete but I’ll explain the delays and my mistakes in another post at sometime in the future.

Anyway, to anyone reading this stay safe.
